I build the pipelines behind the dashboard
Trainee Software Engineer at Synergy Information Systems, working on network telemetry at production scale.
Year 3 IT undergraduate at SLIIT. Full-stack by training, infrastructure by choice.
What I work on daily
GoFlow2 → Kafka → ClickHouse → FastAPI → React. A production network flow analytics pipeline, from raw packets on the wire to the chart an engineer reads at 2am. I work across every stage of it
SIPMon NetFlow Analyzer
Network flow analytics platform integrated with Centreon. I work on the ingestion pipeline, ClickHouse schema migrations and retention policy, query optimisation under memory limits, and a production installer that deploys the whole stack.
Microservice LMS
A learning management platform built as a commercial product, not a coursework demo. Angular and Spring Boot, with an operations console that alerts when a service drops and lets an admin restart it without opening a terminal.
The stack
JavaScript and TypeScript, Java, Python. React, Angular and Next.js on the front; Node, Express, Spring Boot and FastAPI behind them. ClickHouse, PostgreSQL and MongoDB for data. Docker, Kafka and Linux underneath.
Right now
Working through AWS Solutions Architect Associate and heading deliberately toward cloud and DevOps engineering, while taking the microservice LMS from architecture to a sellable product.
Have something that needs building?
Open to freelance full-stack work, and always happy to talk about pipelines, ClickHouse, or anything involving too much data. Details on the Info page, and ways to reach me on Contact.

About
I am a software engineer based in Kadawatha, Sri Lanka, working full-time at Synergy Information Systems while finishing a BSc (Hons) in Information Technology at SLIIT. My day job is network telemetry — moving flow data from collectors through Kafka into ClickHouse, and making it queryable fast enough to be useful. Outside that I build full-stack products and take on freelance work. I tend to start with requirements and a schema before writing code, and I document what I build, because the projects I have enjoyed most were the ones someone else could pick up without me in the room.
Synergy Information Systems - Trainee Software Engineer
Software development and R&D team. A full year on production monitoring systems: ingestion pipelines, ClickHouse schema migrations and retention policy, query optimisation under memory limits, deployment automation, and end-to-end test coverage with Playwright and pytest.
Education and certification
BSc (Hons) in Information Technology at SLIIT, currently Year 3. Additional credentials from the University of Moratuwa and ICBT Campus. Currently working through AWS Cloud Practitioner into Solutions Architect Associate, with Developer Associate after it
NextStep Job Portal
Next.js, Node.js and PostgreSQL, built with a team of four. I wrote the requirements specification, database schema and REST API documentation, and set up the developer onboarding guide and task tracker the team worked from.
Smart Campus Operations Hub
Spring Boot and React. A campus operations system delivered with full supporting documentation — requirements specification, schema design and API reference alongside the build.
Freelance and earlier work
Tourvana, a tourism booking platform covering listings, availability and reservations, built end to end on the MERN stack. Sirilaka Urumaya, a Sri Lankan heritage platform presenting cultural sites and records to the public. I also take on freelance full-stack work through Fiverr — mostly web applications where someone needs the backend, the database and the interface handled by one person.

What I can help with
Full-stack web applications where one person needs to handle the interface, the API and the database.
Data-heavy dashboards and reporting. Getting a stalled project deployed and documented so a team can pick it up.
How I work
Requirements and schema first, then code. I write the documentation as I build, not afterwards, and I test what I ship. You get progress you can see rather than a silence followed by a zip file.
Availability
Open to freelance work alongside my full-time role, so evenings and weekends in GMT+5:30. I reply to messages within a day. Tell me what the project is and I will tell you honestly whether I am the right fit
Get in touch
Email is the fastest way to reach me, and GitHub is the best place to see how I actually write code. If you are hiring, my portfolio has more detail on each project than these pages do.
